MINISTRY

Virtual Interfaith Leadership Training
with Luisa Harpriya

This training is designed to support yoga teachers, therapists and holistic practitioners in understanding and communicating their message. We will explore what it means to consciously hold space for spirit and soul work, how to navigate the complexities of oration and ritual in a way that is inclusive, culturally appropriate, trauma-informed and impactful.

In a world where yoga spaces have become a refuge for those disenfranchised or fractured from cultural and religious traditions, how do we move forward in our quest for community, ritual and ceremony? To be a minister of the divine is to inspire, support and bring forward group and individual healing without dogma, ideology or personal agenda. We will learn to speak and listen beautifully, to use music, ceremonial tools and ritual in an improvisational and subtle way, unique to you alone.

In this training

we will research and understand our core beliefs and underwriting programs around spirituality.

We will come to claim, cleanse and fortify our systems of inquiry and communication with the divine in a way that is unique and authentic and in alignment with who we are at this present time.

We will come to further understand our familial and soul lineage and move forward in a way that uses language, the architecture of our work and relationships, that uses our bodies and our homes and our voices as instruments in the orchestra of universal love.

We will practice prayer, explore oration, silence, what it means to be a counselor,  what it means to dedicate yourself to service, what it means to hold space for healing in all the contexts of your life.

Your ministry is the words you speak, it’s how you hold space for others to heal, it’s the way you mother, it’s the work of being fully human, it begins when you want more than a pedestrian experience, when you care so much, you want to invest your divine gifts in helping, but it’s not about being a missionary for an ideology or about migrating folks to your cultural lens, it’s about cleansing your language the way poetry does, it’s about praying and it’s about collaborating with angels of mercy and peace and forgiveness so that we can soften enough to rewrite the traumatized systems and find common ground to build something meaningful together.

Ministry is the only stand-alone module of Dream Hive’s Six-Month Circle Facilitator Training Program.

“Ministry has been one of the most powerful and empowering courses I have taken. It is definitely more than a course, it’s a mindfully, divinely, communally woven experience for and by all participants. We were taken on a journey of discovery and inspiration through poetry, singing, yoga, reading, watching, meditation, breathwork, chanting, writing, praying and so much more. I witnessed amazing people walking their walk and living their truth whose presence and words ignited the inner fire in all of us. We all got to tend to that fire in a communal way by uplifting each other up, being inspired, inspiring, witnessing our mutual growth and celebrating. I’ve seen every single participant fully stepping into their light and I could feel my own light being relit and growing. And I found the courage within to speak and share my own ministry with confidence. I am so grateful for this experience and would encourage anyone who has been drawn to this space and the resonance of this class to join without hesitation.”

“I feel I am being stretched by Ministry to embody my gifts and my sacred presence, to expose myself to the group in my naming of what my ministry is, and opening my ability to listen to the clues leading me to more clarity of how it shows up in my life and work. I feel bathed in the blessings and prayers every session, leaving the day-long trainings cleansed and renewed.”

A poem inspired by Ministry:

Ministry is a reclamation

of a word and a practice

no longer cloistered

by supremacy and mistrust: it is a circling

of self-authority, an activation, a defiance—

as loud as it is quiet—in the face

of a world taught not to love.

Harpriya, Master of Ceremonies, draws us

around the power presence of the inspired—

received from all time—in text, in video, in the flesh;

we read, we write, we watch, we listen, we eat, we share,

we sing and hold one another. Her style is as much sermon

as it is sculpture—multiple points of entry

grasp our great breaths

    to move up and say:

         “my ministry

           is a transmission

           of inspiration,

and it shall take many forms.”

Remember

Joy Harjo - 1951

Remember the sky that you were born under,
know each of the star's stories.
Remember the moon, know who she is.
Remember the sun's birth at dawn, that is the
strongest point of time. Remember sundown
and the giving away to night.
Remember your birth, how your mother struggled
to give you form and breath. You are evidence of
her life, and her mother's, and hers.
Remember your father. He is your life, also.
Remember the earth whose skin you are:
red earth, black earth, yellow earth, white earth
brown earth, we are earth.
Remember the plants, trees, animal life who all have their
tribes, their families, their histories, too. Talk to them,
listen to them. They are alive poems.
Remember the wind. Remember her voice. She knows the
origin of this universe.
Remember you are all people and all people
are you.
Remember you are this universe and this
universe is you.
Remember all is in motion, is growing, is you.
Remember language comes from this.
Remember the dance language is, that life is.
Remember.
