DREAM CIRCLE FACILITATOR TRAINING

Virtual Training

Empower yourself to create, hold, nourish, and sustain communities of council and practice.

What the world needs now is purpose-driven, growth-oriented, integrated leadership which returns value to the collective, is evolutionary and based on wisdom, love and connection. As we unravel from patriarchy and colonialism, we seek new ways of coming together as villagers, soul families and collectives. Weaving together groups of people and modeling the sacred art of vesseling is a deep skill that is worth cultivating. Inter generational and cross cultural alliances hold potential to bring new perspectives, energy and light to our lives.

We long to be welcomed and we long to share our gifts with the world. This 6 module training will support you in holding space for transformation, healing and growth that can only happen when we do the solitary work of becoming elders in the warmth of our circle.

The age of the Guru and Patriarch are over. Join us for this rich training on servant leadership in the age of unraveling as we learn to return to the collective as individuated and intuitive guides.

Relational Spirituality

Understanding that we grow and develop in relation to our webs of connection. We learn or relearn a village mindedness together and return to the deeper connections our souls long to know. Our spirituality is practiced in the building and tending to relationships. Our most valued resources can be found within the net of our community and we give and receive support in a way that transcends the transactional.

Intuitive

Ceremony

The creation of custom rituals to concretize, acknowledge make sacred threshold moments or points of change and transformation. Ceremonies often involve pieces from the cultural tradition of the participant, the elements of nature, the creation of alters or the giving voice to what is meaningful.

Egalitarian Leadership

If we are to evolve and pivot into a culture of wellness and peace, we will need to create councils of initiated people to lead us, those who are nominated for the experiences and hardships they have endured and the wisdom they carry. In circular leadership, though there is a facilitator, the loving power and responsibility is shared by all and all are both students and teachers of the experience that is wanting to emerge.

Module 1: Ministry

63942EEE-108C-465E-993D-D1744F12F550.jpeg

In this stand alone module, explore what it means to consciously hold space for spirit and soul work, how to navigate the complexities of oration and ritual in a way that is inclusive, culturally appropriate, trauma-informed and impactful.

We will research and understand our core beliefs and underwriting programs around spirituality.

We will come to claim, cleanse and fortify our systems of inquiry and communication with the divine in a way that is unique and authentic and in alignment with who we are at this present time.

We will come to further understand our familial and soul lineage and move forward in a way that uses language, the architecture of our work and relationships, that uses our bodies and our homes and our voices as instruments in the orchestra of universal love.

We will practice prayer, explore oration, silence, what it means to be a counselor,  what it means to dedicate yourself to service, what it means to hold space for healing in all the contexts of your life.

Module 2: Coming Together

The role of facilitator. Gathering a circle. History and cross cultural traditions and ways.

We will explore what it means to hold space for others, to direct what is longing to emerge and to integrate the threads and fragments of revelation into the whole fabric.   We will develop our own personal pedagogical approach to supporting groups by investigating learning styles, the art of facilitation and the skills that are needed to build a safe container, intuit the needs of the group and inspire connection.  We will look to a tapestry of cross cultural models of circular leadership for guidance as well as explore and understand democratic process and consensus building and the crafting and constant revision of shared missions and agreements.

We will explore styles, modes and disciplines of circle facilitation so we can evaluate and implement the strategies that best express our individual expression of circle leadership.

Module 3: Building a Vessel

B7CF12DC-7572-4558-82A0-6883A346EB41.jpeg

Building trust and healing the wounds of childhood so the adult presence can join the collective. Coming home to circle.

In this module we will deeply attend to the need for confidentiality, co-created guidelines and expectations for the group.  We will evaluate what actions, energies and experiences build a vessel which can hold our complexities, and what actions erode the container.

In this module we will understand how to best communicate with the group before, during and after a cycle or session, how to see fissures as opportunities for greater strength through mending.

We will understand ways to set the stage for the true transformation, commitment and growth for the circle members.   We will look at how setting, intention, sensory input and unspoken expectations offer space for a deeper breakthrough.

We will explore how to work with energies that confront, erode or violate the integrity of the group without shaming or exiling group members.  How do you reach the right people and what is your responsibility as a facilitator to enforcing the boundaries of  circle?  How much do you share? How do you create a rhythm that soothes the nervous system, but allows for the painful process of birthing materated and initiated new selves?

Cultural literacy, inclusion and equity will be important themes in this module.

Module 4: Shared Practices

Integrating modalities such as art, embodied movement/ dance, singing, activism, shared concerns.

In this module we will experiment with ways to involve the whole person in a circle experience.  We will understand the valuable tools of community singing, breathwork, yoga, giving prayer and holding silence, as well as the importance of physical dance, touch, art making and the use of  eco-theraputic elements to foster groups.

We will look at somatic therapy, dance and art therapy as well as earth based spiritual traditions and how each modality or way uses the enviornment, body, and elements to call in the possibility of sacred experiences.

Module 5: Sharing Circles

32C2E65F-5A74-4DD2-BCD6-8E1B29D91F36.jpg

How to structure and support the sharing of vulnerability, stories, prayers.

The telling of our personal and ancestral stories can create a breakthrough or reinforce a patterned narrative.  How can speech and talking bring what is otherwise a shameful silence into the light?  How do we share the limited time of the group?  How can we use poems, writing prompts, fables and stories to bring added meaning to our group experience?  How do we handle cross talk, the impulse to fix, the need for sympathy and approval and the invalidating of others experiences when it emerges?

We will understand how to use breakout groups and dyadic interventions as well as group shares to bring intimacy and health to our circles.

Module 6: Group Consciousness

What can we do together that we can not do alone?

Our final module is divided into 4 shorter meetings over a longer period of time to provide space and resources for integration support, and group feedback relating to your trial circle.

In real time we will gain a deeper understanding of the hive mind, the web, the village, the connected space of universality that we all belong to.  How does it exist within the context of the people you have drawn together? How do you tap into the highly knowing, collective wisdom as it unfolds within your circle?

Who is this training for?

900b9bed-2bb1-426d-a0ea-d659c10e78d3.JPG

For educators of all kinds who seek to honor the communities they serve with a healing approach to collective encounters.

Many yoga teachers and healing practitioners learned their modality in a top down model of learning. This training will teach you how to move your learning environment into the circular and cyclical form we long for as humans.

If you are a parent, a teacher, a trainer, a coach, a guide, you will come away from this with a renewed commitment to building your character and integrity so that you can work to co-create the balance and harmony of the village in the global, hyper-connected world.

This training is an antidote to the super fragmented and compartmentalized, authoritarian and separating experience many of us have had on planet earth at this time.

Find your unique approach, calling and voice as you hold space for communities of shared humanity.

TESTIMONIALS

“Ministry has been one of the most powerful and empowering courses I have taken. It is definitely more than a course, it’s a mindfully, divinely, communally woven experience for and by all participants. We were taken on a journey of discovery and inspiration through poetry, singing, yoga, reading, watching, meditation, breathwork, chanting, writing, praying and so much more. I witnessed amazing people walking their walk and living their truth whose presence and words ignited the inner fire in all of us. We all got to tend to that fire in a communal way by uplifting each other up, being inspired, inspiring, witnessing our mutual growth and celebrating. I’ve seen every single participant fully stepping into their light and I could feel my own light being re-lit and growing. And I found the courage within to speak and share my own ministry with confidence. I am so grateful for this experience and would encourage anyone who has been drawn to this space and the resonance of this class to join without hesitation.”

“I feel I am being stretched by Ministry to embody my gifts and my sacred presence, to expose myself to the group in my naming of what my ministry is, and opening my ability to listen to the clues leading me to more clarity of how it shows up in my life and work. I feel bathed in the blessings and prayers every session, leaving the day-long trainings cleansed and renewed.”
