OUR DREAM

Dream Hive is a schoolhouse for the soul, a space for spirit and community, a place to heal and to cultivate bravery, courage, grace and belonging.

We are responding to the times we live in: a culture that disdains the process of aging, warehouses children and elders, traumatizes mothers, and erases the primary experiences that define our humanity. This is a time in history when more and more people are losing the thread of connection to their ancestors, to the rituals through which community is created and sustained, and to the rhythms of the natural world.  We have alienated ourselves into nuclear family systems that are stressed to the breaking point, suicide rates have increased significantly, children are stressed, addiction is at record levels, the gap between the rich and the poor has grown and is growing, sexual violence is pervasive, our food is stripped of nutrients, our hospitals make us sick, our prisons are overflowing, our attention is scattered, we fail to make eye contact, we fail to make space to grieve, to get sunlight, to sleep, to breathe, to make things, to laugh, to walk barefoot upon the earth.

We need a new kind of school, to learn what we have forgotten, to rediscover what makes us human, and what makes being human beautiful and divine.

The Dream Hive is a place for you to liberate yourself from outdated paradigms that separate you from your truth, your happiness and your purpose.  A school to learn from silence, to vibrate mantra, to move your body, to explore the depths of your inner landscape with the support of community. A school for the soul is a place for learning what illuminates us. We need to do this within ourselves, our families, our communities and we need to master the art of connection so that we can teach it to the babes on our knees and make amends with the earth and all her beloved children.

CIRCLES

What is a Dream Circle?

Dream is first and foremost a center for circles, a place to unlearn and a space to honor and remember what is most sacred about life on earth. We believe that sovereign work of healing is best done in the company of friends. It is with great joy that we celebrate twelve years of Dream Circles, though they have been known by many names, they all contain a shared signature as living collectives for embodied wisdom. We come together to build a container strong enough to hold our grief and supple enough to dance through the seasons of our lives.

These 2 hour weekly gatherings will feature movement, contemplative practices and a deeply held sharing circle to support the empowerment, health and victory of our members. Circles are deeper opportunities to do personal work in the accelerated space of group consciousness. Our grief, joy, strengths and vulnerabilities are all gifts to the collective and we have the opportunity to see ourselves reflected and to be expanded by the presence of community.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga offers a path back to the original soul, a practice that helps remove energetic and physical barriers to wellbeing and emotional balance.  Several times a day, everyday, we open our doors to you and welcome you onto your meditation cushion to do the soul work that nourishes you.  Our teachers are deeply committed and experienced practitioners who share an on-fire calling to serve and who are each on their own hero’s journey homeward. At Dream Hive, we have a shared ministry, we understand what it means to transform suffering into insight, and we know the deep personal work of healing is best done with the witness and support of community.

What is Dream Yoga?

Dream Yoga addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational bodies. It is a curated experience of physical practice, meditation or inquiry practice, writing prompts, and an opportunity for prayer, sharing and song. Embodied practices are culled from free form movement, Kundalini and Hatha Yogas which are synthesised to move stagnation and cultivate strength, flexibility and aliveness for the body and the emotions. Leave feeling the freedom and centering that comes from a calm nervous system, a recalibration of soul and spirit, and meaningful connection to others.
